Introduction to Amlodac 5mg Tablet

Amlodac 5mg tablet is an antianginal agent with an active ingredient called Amlodipine which belongs to the medication class known as calcium channel blockers. It treats hypertension (high blood pressure) and a rare form of angina (prinzmetal or variant). In hypertension conditions, this medicine relaxes the blood vessels and makes the blood pass smoothly. In angina, it improves the blood supply, which prevents chest pain. It is not recommended to use this medicine under the age of 6 years because it has yet to be studied. 

Do not take Amlodac 5mg tablet if you are allergic to Amlodipine and its other ingredients. Also, do not consume if you have extremely low blood pressure, heart conditions (narrowing aortic heart valve or cardiogenic shock), or heart failure after the heart attack. Before starting the treatment, inform your doctor if you have a liver condition, recent heart attack, failure, or increased blood pressure.  Inform your doctor if you are older or need any dose adjustments. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to get pregnant, or think you may be pregnant or breastfeeding. This medicine should be only used for hypertension conditions in adolescents and children from 6 - 17 years of age.  Do not consume grapefruit juice or grapefruit while taking this tablet.
