Introduction to Calpol Paediatric Drops
Calpol Pediatric drop contains the active constituent Paracetamol. It belongs to the class of medications called analgesics and antipyretics. It relieves mild to moderate pain and reduces fever, including cold and flu symptoms. Do not give this medicine to your child if they are allergic to Paracetamol or any other ingredients, and if they have an allergic reaction, include a rash and breathing problems. This medicine is recommended for use in children.Â
Inform your physician if your child has liver disease and kidney problems. Notify your physician if your child has an inherited intolerance to sugar. Do not give alcohol or alcohol-containing beverages to your child while administering this medicine. If a pregnant woman requires this medicine, it should be used only in the lowest doses after consulting with a healthcare provider. Notify your physician immediately if your child gets swelling of the hands, feet, ankles, face, lips, or throat after taking this tablet.

Therapeutic Effects of Calpol Paediatric Drops
Calpol pediatric oral drops reduce fever by inhibiting the formulation and release of hormone-like substances (prostaglandins) in the CNS and by inhibiting substances like endogenous pyrogens at the hypothalamic thermoregulator centre. The analgesic activity of Calpol is by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes, particularly COX-3, in the CNS.
Interaction of Calpol Paediatric Drops with other drugs
Inform your healthcare provider about all your medicines, including prescription, over-the-counter, nutritional, and supplements, and herbal products. Certain medications interact with Calpol oral pediatric drops and reduce its effectiveness by causing undesirable side effects.

Word of Advice
