Introduction to Antiflu 75mg Capsule
Antiflu 75mg Capsule is an Antiviral medication used to treat influenza symptoms (flu) in adults, adolescents, children, and neonates who have had flu no more than two days. It contains the active constituent Oseltamivir Phosphate. It is also used as a preventive treatment for flu in patients 1 year and older. This medication keeps the flu virus from spreading throughout the body. They help to ease or prevent the symptoms of the flu virus infection.Â
Influenza (flu) is a viral infection. Flu symptoms include a high temperature (above 37.8 °C), cough, runny or congested nose, headaches, muscle aches, and excessive fatigue. Do not take this medication if you are allergic to Oseltamivir or any of the other ingredients in it. Inform your physician if you have or have ever had a fever or infection, kidney problems, heart problems, weak immune system, and respiratory problems before starting treatment with Antiflu 75mg Capsule. Inform your doctor if you have changes in your mood or behavior (especially in children and adolescents.) Â
Some common side effects of Antiflu 75mg Capsule are nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain. The medicine must be used cautiously in kidney failure patients because dose adjustment is necessary. Inform your physician if you have kidney problems. Even if you feel better, do not miss any doses and complete the entire course of treatment. Stopping the medicine too early may result in infection recurrence or failure to protect you from the flu.

Antiflu 75mg Capsule is an oral capsule used to treatÂ
- Influenza A and B in patients two weeks of age and older who do not have symptoms for more than 2 days
- It also prevents influenza type A and B in patients 1 year and older.
Therapeutic Effects of Antiflu 75mg Capsule
Antiflu 75mg Capsule is a pro-drug that gets converted into its active form (Oseltamivir carboxylate) inside the body. It is a neuraminidase inhibitor used in the treatment and prophylaxis of influenza. It works by inhibiting the neuraminidase enzyme present on the surface of the virus. Â
This enzyme is essential for the virus to enter the healthy cells and release newly formed virus particles from infected cells, thereby spreading the infectious virus throughout the body. Antiflu 75mg Capsule reduces viral shedding and infectivity.
Interaction of Antiflu 75mg Capsule with other drugs
Inform your healthcare provider about all the medicines you take, including prescription medications, over-the-counter medications, nutritional or vitamin supplements, recent vaccinations, and herbal products. Certain medications may interact with Antiflu 75mg Capsule and reduce effectiveness by causing undesirable side effects.Â

- Keep it out of reach from children and pets.
- If you missed your regular dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is 2 hours or less before your next dose, do not take the missed dose. Inform your physician about the missed dose. Do not take 2 doses at the same time.
How to consume Antiflu 75mg Capsule
Antiflu 75mg Capsule is a prescription oral capsule. The dose and frequency of administration will be decided by your doctor based on your disease condition and other factors. Take medicine as directed by your physician. Swallow the capsule as a whole with water. Do not break, chew or crush the capsule. Take it with or without food. The chances of stomach upset are less if you take this capsule with food. Â
For patients who face difficulty in swallowing the capsule, the oral suspension is prescribed. The recommended dose is based on the individual’s body weight. It is important to complete the whole course, even if you start to feel better quickly.
