FCMO Injection combines two essential nutrients that work together to effectively treat and prevent anaemia caused by iron and folate deficiencies. Ferrous Ascorbate provides a bioavailable form of iron, which is crucial for haemoglobin production and oxygen transport in the blood. The presence of Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) further enhances iron absorption, ensuring optimal levels of this vital mineral.

Folic Acid supports DNA synthesis and the production of red blood cells, helping stimulate healthy cell growth and maturation. This combination improves blood health by treating both iron deficiency anaemia and folate deficiency anaemia. It also prevents megaloblastic anaemia and plays a critical role during pregnancy by reducing the risk of neural tube defects, ensuring better health outcomes for both mother and baby.

Certain substances and medications can reduce the absorption of iron from FCMO Injection. Magnesium trisilicate and antacids containing carbonates inhibit iron absorption. Iron also interferes with the absorption of oral tetracycline antibiotics, so avoid taking them within two hours of each other.
