Introduction to Hyalgan 20mg Injection
Hyalgan 20mg injection contains an active component called hyaluronic acid. This medicine belongs to a group of analgesics. It is used to relieve pain in osteoarthritis of the knee. Individuals with inflammation in the joints should inform their doctor prior to the use of the drug. Inform your doctor if you are allergic to the medicine or its ingredients before using the medicine.
Speak with your doctor if you are doing any physical activity (exercise, physiotherapy) that may cause excess joint pain. Consult your doctor if you are planning to get pregnant or think you may be pregnant while breastfeeding. Individuals who have allergic reactions to products from birds, such as feathers, eggs, and poultry, should inform their doctor. It may be contraindicated to patients who have an infection in the joint or skin disease. The safety and effectiveness of the drug have not been shown in children.

Hyaluronic acid is a natural constituent in high amounts in joint tissues and fluids and acts as a lubricant and shock absorber in the joints. In osteoarthritis, there may not be enough hyaluronic acid. The drug may replenish the body with hyaluronic acid, enhance the viscosity of the joint fluid, reduce friction, and thereby relieve the pain.

Inform your doctor about any prescribed medications, over-the-counter medicines, nutritional or vitamin supplements, and herbal products you take or have taken before the treatment. Certain medications may interact with hyalgan 20mg injection and can cause undesirable side effects.
