Introduction to Levipil Injection
Levipil injection belongs to the class of medications known as anti-convulsant. It contains the active ingredient Levetiracetam, and it is indicated to treat epilepsy. Epilepsy is a condition in the central nervous system where the patients have repeated fits or seizures. It may be used alone or in combination with other medicines.Â
The common side effects that are likely to occur while you are on the treatment with this drug are nasopharyngitis (inflammation of nose and throat), headache, sleepiness, dizziness, drowsiness, nausea, vomiting, depression, aggression, anxiety, loss of appetite, tremor, rash, etc. Report to your doctor immediately if you have severe allergic reactions or kidney and liver problems. While taking this medicine, your doctor monitors kidney functions through regular blood tests.
Before taking this medication, let your healthcare provider know if you have a medical history of irregular heartbeats or salt imbalances. Consult your doctor if you notice any slowdown in the growth or unexpected puberty development in your child. It is not recommended if you are a pregnant or breastfeeding woman.
