Introduction to Lidofix 2% Adr Injection

Liofix 2% Adr Injection contains the active ingredient Lignocaine, Adrenaline Bitartrate. Lidocaine belongs to the class of medication known as local anesthetics that numb (anesthetize) the body area. Adrenaline belongs to the class of medication known as vasoconstrictors that make the blood vessels. Liofix 2% Adr Injection is used to treat certain types of chronic pain and provides pain relief in labor, after surgery, or after acute injury.

Before taking this medication, let your physician know if you have severe allergic reactions. Report to your physician about your complete medical history, especially if you have high blood pressure or heart problems such as a slow heartbeat, hypovolaemia (decreased volume of blood), epilepsy, stroke, diabetes, thyroid problems, liver or kidney disease, inflammation at the site of injection, a rare blood pigment disorder (porphyria). It is not recommended if you are a pregnant or breastfeeding woman.

Therapeutic Effects of Lidofix 2% Adr Injection

Lidocaine works by stopping the influx of sodium ions into the membrane surrounding the nerves, preventing impulse initiation and conduction. As a result, it has an anesthetic effect and lessens pain perception. Adrenaline works by tightening and restricting blood vessels, slowing their distribution. Thereby prolonging Lidocaine’s effect.

Inform the doctor about your medicines, including prescription, over-the-counter, nutritional or vitamin supplements, and herbal products. Certain medications may interact with Liofix 2% Adr Injection, reducing effectiveness by causing undesirable side effects.

Tell your doctor before the treatment commencement if you are pregnant or have blood diseases like hypovolaemia (decreased blood volume), heart problems such as a slow heartbeat, difficulty breathing, or stroke. Avoid eating or chewing within 1 hour after this injection is given to numb your mouth or throat. This is because you may accidentally bite the inside of your mouth if you are still numb.
