Nostof 1gm injection is an antibiotic drug with an active ingredient called Cefazolin sodium. It belongs to the medication class known as Cephalosporins. It is used to treat infections in different body parts, such as skin, joints, and bones, caused by bacteria. These antibiotics work by killing the bacteria that are causing your infection. It is used as a preventive measure against infections before and after surgery.

Nostof 1gm injection should not be taken if you have allergies to Cefazolin sodium, other cephalosporin antibacterial drugs, penicillins, other beta-lactam drugs, or any of the medication's ingredients. Before taking the medicine, inform your doctor if you have a history of intestinal disorders, particularly colitis (bowel inflammation), kidney problems, or if you are following a low-sodium diet.

Nostof 1gm injection is not recommended for premature infants or infants under one month of age. The safety of this medication in such cases has not been established. Talk to your doctor regarding the necessity of using additional contraception while taking Cefazolin Sandoz because certain antibiotics can potentially reduce the effectiveness of certain birth control pills.
