Introduction to Nubeqa 300mg Tablet
Nubeqa 300mg tablet consists of the active ingredient Darolutamide. It is an androgen receptor inhibitor used for treating adult men with non-metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer. It is also approved to treat hormone-sensitive metastatic prostate cancer in combination with other anti-cancer medications. Prostate cancer occurs when the prostate cells start multiplying and dividing abnormally. Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to darolutamide or any other ingredient in it.  Â
Effective contraception is to be taken while using Nubeqa 300mg Tablet, and it must be continued till one week after the last dose with this medication to prevent pregnancy. Before starting treatment with this medication, inform your doctor if you have any liver problems, kidney problems, heart conditions, or allergic conditions. Â
Nubeqa 300mg tablet may cause infertility in men, hence discuss your fertility concerns with your doctor before beginning treatment with this medication. Inform your doctor if you are lactose intolerant before starting treatment with this medication, as it contains lactose. Fatigue, rash, and pain in muscle, bone, arms, and legs are common side effects of this medication.Â
Uses of Nubeqa 300mg Tablet
- Non-metastatic, castration-resistant prostate cancer (prostate cancer that hasn’t spread to other body parts and does not respond to medicinal or surgical treatment)
- Hormone-sensitive metastatic prostate cancer in combination with other anti-cancer medications.
Therapeutic Effects of Nubeqa 300mg Tablet
Nubeqa 300mg tablet works by inhibiting the activity of androgens (testosterone) which are male sex hormones. Inhibition of these hormones stops the growth, division and multiplication of cancer cells.Â
Interaction of Nubeqa 300mg Tablet with other drugs
Inform your doctor about any prescription medications, over-the-counter medications, nutritional or vitamin supplements, and herbal products that you are taking or have taken before the treatment. Certain medicines may interact with Nubeqa 300mg tablet and can cause undesirable side effects.Â

- Keep Darolutamide out of sight and reach of children.
- This medication is to be stored at or below 30 °C.
- If you missed your regular dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is 2 hours or less before your next dose, do not take the missed dose. Inform your physician about the missed dose. Do not take 2 doses at the same time.
How to consume Nubeqa 300mg Tablet
Nubeqa 300mg tablet is to be taken exactly as prescribed by your healthcare provider. Swallow this medication whole with food and water. The frequency of administration will be decided by your doctor based on the severity.Â
Safety Advices for Nubeqa 300mg Tablet

Pregnancy
 ÂNubeqa 300mg Tablet is only for use in men. This drug is not recommended for use in women, especially if they are pregnant, because it may cause harm to the unborn baby and result in loss of pregnancy. It is better to discuss with a doctor to use of an effective contraceptive method during the treatment and for 1 week after the last dose if your male partner is consuming this medicine. It is recommended to consult your physician if you are pregnant already or suspect pregnancy. Â

Breast Feeding
 ÂNubeqa 300mg tablet is not indicated in females. It is unknown whether this medicine is excreted in human milk. It is difficult to rule out benefits over risk for the nursing infant, hence it should not be used during breastfeeding.Â

Lungs
 ÂIt is unknown whether Nubeqa 300mg Tablet can be administered to patients with lung diseases. Inform your doctor if you have any lung problems before starting the treatment.Â

Liver
 ÂNubeqa 300mg tablet is safe to use in patients having mild liver conditions if prescribed by your healthcare provider. Inform your doctor about any liver conditions you have before starting treatment with this medication.Â

Alcohol
 ÂIt is unknown whether it is safe to consume alcohol with Nubeqa 300mg tablet. It is advised to consult your physician for more advice.

Side Effects of Nubeqa 300mg Tablet

Inform your physician if you are facing any symptoms of seizures, swelling in legs, ankle, and face, abdominal pain, shortness of breath, and chest pain after taking this medicine. Notify your physician if you are taking any antibiotics, cholesterol medications, and other prescribed medicines. Nubeqa 300mg tablet is not indicated in children and adolescents less than 18 years of age. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should not consume this medication since this is used to treat prostate cancer.Â
