Introduction to Olabir 150mg Tablet 30's

Olabir Tablet belongs to the class of cancer medications known as PARP (poly [adenosine diphosphate-ribose] polymerase inhibitor) inhibitors. It contains the active ingredient Olaparib. It is used to treat pancreatic and prostate cancer. This medication can be given alone or in combination with other anticancer medications. 

It is not recommended to take olaparib if you are allergic to the active compound and other ingredients of the medicine. Speak with your doctor immediately if you experience breathlessness, chest pain, rapid heart rate, fever, cough, or wheezing. Your healthcare provider will conduct blood tests before and every month during the treatment, as this medicine could reduce the counts of RBC, WBC, and platelets. Tell your healthcare provider before starting treatment if you have been diagnosed with problems in your lungs, liver, heart, or kidneys. 

It is not advised to use this medication while pregnant since it may harm the fetus and cause miscarriage. Therefore, for women of reproductive age, it is recommended to get a pregnancy test before beginning this medication. It is preferable to keep using birth control for at least six months after treatment is finished. While receiving treatment, it is not advised to breastfeed your child because it is unknown if  Olabir Tablet will find its way into the breast milk. Men are not advised to donate sperm for at least 3 months after the treatment is finished. It is necessary to inform your doctor about all the medicines you are taking, including prescription, over-the-counter drugs, vitamins and supplements.

Therapeutic Effects of Olabir 150mg Tablet 30's

Olabir Tablet works by inhibiting the enzyme poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP), which plays a role in repairing damaged DNA in cells. By inhibiting PARP, Olabir Tablet prevents cancer cells from repairing their DNA, leading to cell death.  This targeted approach is especially effective in cancers with defective DNA repair mechanisms.

Inform your healthcare provider about all the medicines you take, including prescription, over-the-counter, nutritional or vitamin supplements, and herbal products. Certain medications may interact with  Olabir Tablet and reduce effectiveness by causing undesirable side effects.

How to consume Olabir 150mg Tablet 30's

The medicine will be prescribed to you by a healthcare professional in a hospital setting.  Olabir Tablet is available as a tablet to be taken with or without food, as directed by your healthcare provider.  The dose will be decided by your healthcare professional based on your conditions.  Avoid crushing, opening, or dissolving the tablet and swallow it whole with a glass of water. Take the  Olabir Tablet at the same time every day.

When undergoing this therapy, stay out of direct sunlight and wear sunscreen with an SPF of at least 50 before going outside.  Olabir Tablet should not be stopped without first talking to your doctor. When using this medication, stay away from grapefruit juice as it may raise your blood levels of the drug.  It is recommended that you inform your doctor about other anticancer medicines you have been taking. It's critical to maintain a sufficient fluid intake because dehydration can exacerbate symptoms such as diarrhoea and other gastrointestinal disorders. Even if you feel better or see a change in your symptoms, you should still talk to your doctor before stopping the Olabir Tablet. 

Remember to attend all scheduled appointments and follow-up visits with your healthcare provider to ensure your treatment is effective and any side effects are managed appropriately.
