Introduction to Perjeta 420mg Injection
Perjeta 420mg Injection is an anticancer medication containing the active constituent Pertuzumab. It is used to treat a type of breast cancer (HER2-positive breast cancer) in combination with other chemotherapy medications. Cancer is a condition in which cells multiply uncontrolled and abnormally.
Perjeta 420mg Injection is not recommended for adolescents and children under 18 years of age. Before taking this medicine, it is vital to inform your doctor if you have or have ever had heart problems or chemotherapy. Use effective birth control during the treatment and for at least six months after the last dose.
Inform your doctor if you have kidney disease before starting with this Pertuzumab injection. Patients with kidney disease should cautiously use this medicine. Make sure you inform your physician of all the medicines, including supplements and herbal medicines, you are taking before you start treatment with this medicine. Do not stop taking this medication without talking to your physician first.

Therapeutic Effects of Perjeta 420mg Injection
Perjeta 420mg binds to the human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) on cancer cells, potentially destroying or inhibiting cancer cell growth.
Interaction of Perjeta 420mg Injection with other drugs
Inform your healthcare provider about all your medicines, including prescribed medications, over-the-counter medicines, nutritional or vitamin supplements, and herbal products. Certain medications may interact with Perjeta 420mg and reduce effectiveness by causing undesirable side effects.

- Store in refrigerator at 2°C to 8°C. Do not freeze.
How to consume Perjeta 420mg Injection
Perjeta 420mg Injection is available as an injection and administered intravenously once every three weeks. Follow your physician's instructions. Your doctor will determine the frequency and dose of administration because it varies for each person depending on the disease condition. Don’t self-administer.

Pregnancy
Inform your doctor in case you are pregnant, think you might be pregnant or are planning to get pregnant, as Perjeta 420mg injection may be unsafe during pregnancy.
Breast Feeding
It may be unsafe to take Perjeta 420mg Injection while breastfeeding. Consult your doctor if you are breastfeeding before taking this medication.
Lungs
It is unknown whether Perjeta 420mg Injection is safe for patients with lung problems. Notify your physician if you have any lung disease before starting the treatment. Contact your doctor if you experience any lung-related symptoms.
Liver
Perjeta 420mg Injection is used with caution in patients with liver impairment. Inform your physician about the pre-existing live conditions. Your physician will monitor your liver functions and adjust the dose accordingly.
Alcohol
It is not known whether it is safe to consume alcohol with Perjeta 420mg injection. Please consult your doctor.
Driving
Perjeta 420mg injection may cause dizziness, infusion reaction, and other minor effects. So, avoid driving if you are unwell.

Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all medicines cause side effects, not everyone gets them.

- Severe or persistent diarrhea
- Low white blood cell count
- Infusion reactions (fever, chills, hot flushes, nausea, headache, joint, and muscle pain)
- Severe allergic reactions (swelling of throat and face, difficulty in breathing)
- Heart problems (cough, swelling in arms or legs, shortness of breath)
- Tumour lysis syndrome (confusion, tiredness, irregular heartbeat, seizures, tingling sensation)
