Introduction to Rosuvas F 20mg Tablet

Rosuvas F 20mg tablet is a combination of two active ingredients rosuvastatin and fenofibrate, which are used to treat high cholesterol and lowers the triglyceride levels in the blood. These drugs mainly help to reduce the risk of cardiac-related diseases.

This medication is contraindicated in patients with a history of gallbladder disease including gallstones. It should be used with caution in patients with renal impairment, as it may cause kidney damage. Also, it should be avoided by those who have a known hypersensitivity to any of the other ingredients in the tablet. Inform your physician if you are planning for pregnancy before initiating the treatment. Avoid getting pregnant and breastfeeding during the treatment. Use effective contraception to avoid pregnancy, as it can harm the developing fetus or nursing infant.

Inform your doctor if you have kidney or liver problems, severe respiratory failure, thyroid problems, continuous muscle pain (such as myopathy or rhabdomyolysis), or if you are drinking heavy amounts of alcohol regularly before starting treatment with Rosuvas F 20mg tablet, because it may increase the triglyceride levels in the blood and do not take it unless prescribed by your doctor. It is advised to take a low-cholesterol diet and do regular exercises while taking this medication.

Uses of Rosuvas F 20mg Tablet

  • Hyperlipidaemia

Therapeutic Effects of Rosuvas F 20mg Tablet

Rosuvas F 20mg tablet works by reducing low density lipoprotein (LDL) levels. It works by slowing down the production of cholesterol, thereby lowering the blood cholesterol levels. By activating the lipoprotein lipase enzyme, the other drug reduces the levels of triglycerides in the blood and thereby lowers the risk of other complications associated with high triglyceride levels. Together, these two medications can help improve lipid profiles and reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease.

Inform your healthcare provider about all the medicines you take, including prescription medications, over-the-counter medications, vaccinations, nutritional and vitamin supplements, and herbal products.
