Introduction to Telma Act 40mg/5mg/6.25mg Tablet

Telma Act 40mg/5mg/6.25mg Tablet belongs to the group of medications called antihypertensives. It contains a combination of three medications: Telmisartan, Amlodipine, and Chlorthalidone, which control blood pressure when a single medication is ineffective. It is primarily used for the treatment of hypertension. Hypertension (high blood pressure) is a medical condition in which blood exerts a force on the artery walls (blood vessels), resulting in heart disease, irregular heartbeat, and other problems.

Before taking this medication, let your physician know if you have hypersensitivity (allergic reactions) to any of the ingredients of this medication. Report to your doctor immediately if you have heart, kidney, or liver problems, diabetes, angioedema, anuria (kidney failure that causes less urine production), electrolyte imbalance, and dehydration. Avoid potassium supplements with this medication as it may lead to hyperkalemia (high potassium levels in the blood). Never stop taking this medication without consulting your doctor. Withdrawing suddenly from this medication could make the disease worse or cause a recurrence of symptoms.

Headache, dizziness, sleepiness, ankle swelling, fatigue (tiredness), bradycardia, gastrointestinal disturbance, electrolyte imbalance, increased glucose level in the blood, postural hypotension, angioedema, urticarial, visual disturbance, breathlessness, and muscle cramp are common side effects of Telma Act 40mg/5mg/6.25mg Tablet. Inform your healthcare provider if these side effects disturb or persist in you.
