The drug has effectively reversed the action of certain muscle relaxants used in the surgery.

Mechanism of Action of undefined

Neostigmine inhibits the enzyme acetylcholinesterase to increase the availability of acetylcholine at the motor end plate. This has an antagonizing effect on the non-depolarizing nerve and muscular blockade. Glycopyrrolate counteracts the undesirable effects caused by neostigmine by blocking the action of acetylcholine present in nerves and smooth muscles. Methylsulphate, as part of the formulation of neostigmine methylsulfate, serves as a stabilizing agent. It may enhance the stability, solubility of neostigmine methylsulfate as a medication. This combination reverses the muscle relaxation produced by medications that relax muscles.
