Introduction to Cazigel Softgel Capsule
Cazigel Softgel Capsule contains active components called Calcitriol, Calcium carbonate and zinc. This medication prevents and treats calcium deficiency, which can lead to weak bones and teeth. It is also used to treat certain bone conditions, such as osteoporosis. It helps manage secondary hyperparathyroidism(overactivity of the parathyroid glands in response to chronic kidney disease) and renal osteodystrophy(a skeletal disorder that arises from mineral and hormonal imbalances associated with chronic kidney disease).Â
People allergic to Cazigel Softgel Capsule or its components should not take this medication. People with kidney disease should use it with caution. This is because this medication can increase the risk of kidney stones in people with kidney disease. It contains calcium carbonate and calcitriol, both of which can increase blood calcium levels and calcium levels in the urine. Therefore, it is not recommended in people with hypercalcemia and hypercalciuria. It should be avoided in patients with vitamin D toxicity, sarcoidosis, and digitalis toxicity.Â
Cazigel Softgel Capsule should be cautiously used in old age. This is because older adults are at an increased risk of hypercalcemia, hypercalciuria, and kidney disease. This medication is not recommended for children under the age of 12 years. This is because there is limited information on the safety and efficacy of it.
