Introduction to Geroz Xt Tablet
Geroz XT Tablet contains an active component called Folic acid and Heme iron polypeptide. It is used to treat and prevent iron deficiency anemia. Iron deficiency anemia is when the body does not have enough iron to make enough red blood cells. It helps alleviate symptoms such as fatigue, weakness, pale skin, and shortness of breath. This medication also helps maintain adequate folic acid levels, preventing megaloblastic anemia.
Individuals with a known allergy to any of its ingredients should not take Geroz XT tablets. It should not be used in individuals with iron overload or hemochromatosis, a condition characterized by excessive iron storage in the body, as in such cases, it can worsen the condition and lead to serious complications. It may not be suitable for individuals with certain medical conditions, such as peptic ulcers, ulcerative colitis, or Crohn's disease. Individuals with kidney problems should consult their healthcare provider before taking it as it can increase the risk of iron overload. It is not recommended for children under the age of 6 due to the potential risk of iron poisoning. Older adults may be more likely to have iron overload, a condition in which the body has too much iron. This can be harmful, so you must talk to your doctor before taking the Geroz XT Tablet.

Therapeutic Effects of Geroz Xt Tablet
Geroz XT Tablet contains heme iron polypeptide, a form of iron that is readily absorbed by the body. Heme iron is transported into the intestinal cells by a protein called heme carrier protein 1 (HCP1). Once inside the intestinal cells, the iron is stripped from the heme ring and transported to the liver, where it is incorporated into hemoglobin, the protein that carries oxygen in red blood cells. Folic acid, another component of this medication, is essential for producing new red blood cells.
