Introduction to Concor Am 2.5mg Tablet

Concor AM 2.5mg Tablet belongs to a class of medications known as Anti-hypertensives. It contains the active ingredient bisoprolol. Hypertension is defined as a medical condition in which the blood generates an excessive force on the artery walls (blood vessels). Angina Pectoris refers to chest pain caused by reduced blood flow to the heart. It might indicate coronary artery disease. Chronic heart failure occurs when your heart is unable to pump adequate oxygen-rich blood to meet your body's requirements.

Dizziness, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, headache, bradycardia, asthenia, fatigue, hypotension, coldness or numbness in the extremities, and worsening of pre-existing heart failure are the common side effects of Concor AM 2.5mg Tablet. Inform your healthcare provider if these side effects disturb or persist in you. This medication is not recommended for children.

Therapeutic Effects of Concor Am 2.5mg Tablet

Concor AM 2.5mg Tablet is a beta1-selective adrenoceptor-blocking agent that affects the body's response to certain nerve impulses, especially in the heart. It works by decreasing the heart rate and making it easier for the heart to flow blood throughout the body. As a result, it reduces blood pressure and the risk of having a stroke, a heart attack, other heart problems, or kidney problems.
