Introduction to Xapavir Lt Tablet
Xapavir LT tablet consists of the active substance called Dolutegravir, Lamivudine, Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate. Dolutegravir is an antiviral medicine belonging to the integrase inhibitor family. Lamivudine, Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate, which belongs to the antiretroviral medicine class. This medicine treats HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) infection in adults and children with 40kg or greater. It is a nucleotide reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NRTI) and works by inhibiting the enzymes (HIV reverse transcriptase), which is important for virus replication. While consuming this medicine, you may still develop infections related to HIV. Although effective antiretroviral therapy reduces the risk, HIV transmission is still possible when using this medication. Contact your doctor for more information.Â
Do not take Xapavir LT tablet if you are allergic to Dolutegravir, Lamivudine, Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate, or its other medical ingredients. Patients diagnosed with pancreatitis or at risk of pancreatitis should take this combination of medicine cautiously. During this treatment, your doctor may periodically monitor your blood counts, bone mineral density, liver and kidney parameters to prevent serious complications. Notify your doctor if you have or had a history of lactic acidosis (excess lactic acid), pancreatitis (inflammation in the pancreas), bone disease (osteonecrosis - the death of bone tissue), fractures, liver (chronic hepatitis B), or kidney problems.Â
Inform your doctor if you are planning to get pregnant or think you may be pregnant. Breastfeeding is not recommended while taking Xapavir LT tablet due to the potential transmission of HIV infection to the baby from mother.

Therapeutic Effects of Xapavir Lt Tablet
Xapavir LT tablet lowers HIV by inhibiting its replication. It increases the number of CD4 (T) cells, enabling the immune system to fight other infections. This lowers the risk of severity and death associated with a weak immune system.
Interaction of Xapavir Lt Tablet with other drugs
Inform your healthcare provider about all the medicines you take, including prescription medications, over-the-counter medications, nutritional and vitamin supplements, and herbal products. Certain medications interact with Efavirenz, Lamivudine, Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate and reduce their effectiveness by causing undesirable side effects.Â

How to consume Xapavir Lt Tablet
It is taken orally. Your doctor will decide the dose and duration of Xapavir LT based on the disease condition and other factors. Always take this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. Take the tablet at the same time. Do not take an additional dose to compensate for the missed dose. Do not chew, dissolve, crush, or break the tablet.Â

Alcohol
 ÂDo not consume alcohol while taking the Xapavir LT tablet, as this injection may cause drowsiness with alcohol.

- Rapid breathing
- Drowsiness
- Nausea, vomiting, and stomach pain

- Severe mood disturbances, depression, and suicidal thoughts

Xapavir LT tablet does not reduce the risk of transmitting HIV to others via sexual contact or blood contamination. You must continue the medication to avoid this complication.
